We are currently seeking compassionate, resilient, and skilled Tutors to provide bespoke educational support to young people in and around Gosport.
Our learners may be experiencing a range of challenges including:
Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Trauma and Anxiety
Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
Permanent Exclusion (PEX) or risk of PEXEach young person we support is unique, and we pride ourselves on delivering tailored, trauma-informed tuition that meets them where they are- academically, emotionally, and socially.
Whether you're a qualified teacher, a teaching assistant with specialist experience, or a professional with a background in youth work or SEND, we welcome your application.
Aa a Tutor, you will:
- Plan engaging sessions for young people, which draw upon their interests to support them in their learning journey
- Write weekly reports to monitor the progress of each young person
- Liaise with professionals to support individual's needs
- Show patience, compassion, empathy and resilience
About you:
Experience working with children and young people in UK educational settings
A nurturing and flexible approach to teaching
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people
Trauma-informed- desirable
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
