4. Foster strong relationships across the domestic and international AI ecosystem, engaging empathetically with stakeholders to identify challenges in the use of AI in UK financial markets and explore areas where regulatory responses may be needed

5. Partner with colleagues at the Bank of England and the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DRCF) to research and interpret market developments, sharing insights in a clear and constructive manner

6. Contribute to the FCA’s thought leadership on AI in financial markets through an inclusive, holistic lens—considering technical standards, assurance, and wider societal impacts

7. Provide supportive input to the FCA AI Programme Board and collaborate with teams developing the FCA’s own AI tools to ensure they align with our goals and values

8. Transform research and analysis into practical, meaningful outcomes by co-authoring external publications or facilitating workshops that promote learning and shared understanding of the impact AI will have on UK financial markets and consumers.

What will you get from the role?

9. Play a meaningful role in shaping the UK’s future approach to AI—not just for financial services, but across society
