Solicitor or Equivalent (Clinical Negligence Grade C - Manchester)
Join 4COM (4Communication B.V) as a Grade C Clinical Negligence Solicitor or equivalent. This role is based in Manchester and offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining home‑office flexibility with collaboration in our modern office.
Job Overview
As a Grade C Solicitor, you will support Senior Lawyers and the team in managing a diverse caseload of clinical negligence cases from inception to trial, assisting in settlement and litigation. You will mentor junior members and contribute to the team’s overall success.
Main Responsibilities
* Run an individual caseload and provide support to the team to deliver outstanding client service.
* Contribute to proactive and commercial case management and progression across the team.
* Assist in the delivery of the team’s financial and performance KPIs.
* Draft legal documentation such as letters of instruction, leave‑on‑claim/settlement letters, and service proceedings.
* Negotiate settlements and, where required, liaise with parties to finalize outcomes.
* Participate in litigation of claims as required.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to junior lawyers and team members.
Required Experience and Qualifications
* 3–5 years of experience or NQ‑5 PQE in Clinical Negligence.
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
* Strong drafting abilities and Microsoft Office/Proclaim expertise.
* Commercial awareness and ability to work collaboratively with senior team.
* Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
* Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high‑quality work.
