Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and inspiring Spiritual Coordinator to lead and enrich the Islamic spiritual life of our students. The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and support a range of activities that strengthen students’ connection to Allah (SWT), deepen their understanding of Islam, and encourage them to embody Islamic values in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and deliver whole-school assemblies, faith-based activities, and key Islamic events such as Ramadan, Hajj, and Rabi‘ al-Awwal.
Organise Qur’an circles, Islamic studies enrichment, and lunchtime activities that promote spiritual growth and unity.
Provide pastoral and spiritual guidance to students, supporting their personal and faith development.
Develop and implement a whole-school spirituality strategy aligned with the Islamic ethos and Section 48 expectations.
Support staff in embedding Islamic values and creating spiritually nurturing classroom environments.
Coordinate fundraising initiatives, charity partnerships, and guest speakers for assemblies.
Work with the pastoral team on student leadership roles, including the Shura Council and prefect selection.
Strengthen links with parents, governors, and the wider community to enhance the school’s spiritual and cultural life.
Promote SMSC, Fundamental British Values, mutual respect, and cultural understanding across the school.
Collaborate with SLT and staff teams to ensure the school vision and Islamic ethos are reflected in all areas of school life.
