POSITION SUMMARY
The busbar Project Manager plays a critical role in leading, planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, primarily within the MEP and data centre environments. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to ensure all projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The PM will be responsible for the development of management methods and best practices, providing procedural services, and managing project health, risks, and performance through active engagement with reporting structures and colleagues at all levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple busbar projects, from initial planning to completion in data center and MEP construction environments
* Plan and coordinate resources, including collaborating with the Engineering team on project design
* Prepare and manage project budgets to ensure delivery within financial targets
* Monitor project progress and performance, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle
* Facilitate clear communication between project teams, operations, and senior management
* Serve as the client’s point of contact, ensuring effective communication
* Foster teamwork by assigning responsibilities, supporting team members, and promoting collaboration
* Promote continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and participating in innovations and best practices
* Ensure client approval on technical submissions and drawings for timely release to production
* Coordinate with Purchasing for forecasting and loading long-lead requirements
* Provide demand forecasts and initial material requirements to support capacity planning
* Work with Project Planners to develop and maintain project-specific programs
* Oversee parts release to production following engineering and drawing approvals
* Ensure timely dispatch of equipment to site by coordinating relevant departments
* Oversee project task planning, considering dependencies across departments
* Develop and maintain reporting structures focusing on Risk Management and Commercial Performance
* Lead a proactive risk management environment through effective reporting and principles
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within Construction, Manufacturing, MEP, or data center environments
* Proven experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing client and stakeholder relationships
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA)
* Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, switchgear, or busbar trunking systems
* Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
* Experience working in fast-paced, client-driven project environments
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
Intermittent travel to various production facilities and site locations.
