This is a permanent full time with a salary ranging from £60,000-£80,000 plus benefits. The roleAs Salesforce Technical Architect you will be responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions on the Salesforce platform that meet strategic business needs. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, you will ensure robust architectural decisions are made and implemented across multiple Salesforce clouds and integrated systems. You will have opportunity to lead design sessions, oversee development standards, and play a key role in shaping and governing the long-term technical direction of the Salesforce platform across the organisation, collaborating closely with broader architecture, solutions, and data teams.
What you’ll be doing
1. Translate complex business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds and systems.
2. Lead end-to-end technical solution design, including data models, integrations, and security frameworks.
3. Guide and mentor development teams, providing technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
4. Facilitate technical design workshops with stakeholders to align on solution approaches.
5. Responsible for implementing solutions that support business requirements and drive key decisions that improve processes and productivity.
6. Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and systems such as MuleSoft, Azure, and AWS.
7. Ensure adherence to best practices in architecture, development, data governance, and platform security.
8. Collaborate closely with enterprise architecture, solution design, and data teams to ensure alignment and integration across business-critical platforms.
9. Contribute to platform strategy, helping to evolve the Salesforce Centre of Excellence and technical standards.
10. Understand the full extent of the solution, integration components and how they fit into the Salesforce architecture
11. Perform quality assurance reviews to validate adherence to design principles and coding standards.
12. Remain up to date with Salesforce innovations and identify opportunities to enhance platform value.
What we’re looking for
13. Hands-on experience designing and implementing Salesforce solutions across multiple clouds ( Service Cloud, Energy & Utilties Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, Data Cloud).
14. Experience with Salesforce Field Service would be advantageous, particularly in environments involving scheduling, mobile workforce enablement, or asset-based service
15. Experience with billing systems or revenue management solutions, especially those used within the UK water industry ( Aptumo or similar), would be highly desirable.
16. Demonstrable experience in solution architecture, data modelling, and integration design within a Salesforce context.
17. Experience working in complex enterprise environments with cloud-based ecosystems ( MuleSoft, Azure, AWS)
18. Proven ability to lead technical design sessions and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
19. Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery models.
20. Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership experience within multi-disciplinary teams.
21. Familiarity with DevOps tooling ( Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines) is desirable.
22. Background in industries with complex regulatory and compliance requirements would be highly desirable
23. Salesforce certifications such as Platform Architect, Technical Architect, Integration Architect, or System Architect (or equivalent experience).
