About the role
We are currently seeking a ‘people person’ who is confident using and learning about technologies that can help people stay safe and independent in their homes. The role will involve installing, maintaining and decommissioning digital and technology‑enabled care solutions in private dwellings, public residential sites and other community spaces across the Neath Port Talbot County Borough.
As a Technology Enabled Care Support Installer you will support individuals to get the most out of their technology, helping them develop the digital skills they need to use technology confidently and effectively.
Your daily routine will include
* Using small power tools when required (e.g. handheld drill)
* Working in a customer‑service and customer‑focused environment
* Dealing with sensitive issues in a caring and compassionate manner
About you
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade A‐C) including English or Welsh equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Technology Enabled Care or Care
* OR substantial experience in a relevant role or lived‐experience
* No formal qualifications are required – full training will be provided
Experience in Technology Enabled Care, Customer Service or Care is welcomed.
Work style: mobile hybrid worker with flexibility to work from home and across Council workplaces.
