Gas Engineer (Contractual)

We’re recruiting for two Gas Engineers contractually based out of our Basingstoke office. You'll cover Basingstoke and the surrounding North Hampshire area on a full time, permanent basis, working 39 hours per week. Whilst we’ll try to keep you local, you may need to travel to and work from any of our other sites across Hampshire to help other teams when needed.
We’ll provide you with a van & fuel card for your travel. You’ll also participate in the emergency on-call rota and be paid at competitive rates. As part of the on-call rota, you’ll also have access to a performance related bonus scheme based around productivity.

Responsibilities
As a gas engineer, you’ll carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing of domestic boilers and appliances in line with gas safety regulations. You’ll identify faults and test controls to ensure they’re in full working order. You’ll complete gas safety checks in line with guidance and regulations, completing all necessary paperwork to fulfil our obligations. You’ll interact with our customers and help them to understand how to use their heating & appliances effectively. Good communication skills are key.
Qualifications
* CCN1, CEN, HTR, unvented and CPA technical qualifications – proof required at interview.
* Essential electrics beneficial.
* Full, clean, current driving licence (held for at least one year).
* Successful satisfactory licence check and a basic disclosure check.
