Elm Tree Surgery is looking for a fixed term salaried GP to join our happy and successful small semi-rural dispensing practice on the Wiltshire/Oxfordshire border. We are looking for 4 sessions a week, Tuesday and Friday, to include Friday PM Duty session which will be paid at a rate of £11,000 a session per year for the right candidate.
Start Date: February 2026
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable GP who is keen to be part of our committed and cohesive team.
You will deal with a wide range of healthcare needs in a primary care setting, managing a caseload and ensuring the highest standards of care for all our patients. You will also be responsible for administration and paperwork arising directly from your caseload—referrals, investigations, results, etc.
About us
We are a well-established single‐sit e training and dispensing practice serving a semi‑rural population of approximately 8,500 patients. Our list is small enough to enable our GPs to provide continuity of care for their patients and, while we are situated in a rural village, the area has excellent links, both road and rail, to London, Oxford, Bristol and Bath.
Our supportive team includes 3 partners, 4 salaried GPs, 3 practice nurses, 2 healthcare assistants/phlebotomists, 1 practice manager and excellent receptionists, dispensers and secretaries. Elm Tree is part of one of the Primary Care Networks, which come under the umbrella of the Brunel Health Care Group. This means we benefit from First Contact Physiotherapists, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Social Prescribers and a Health and Well‑Being Coach who all supplement our practice team.
