A well-established public sector organisation is looking for a proactive and organised HR Administrator to join their Employee Relations team on an initial 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced HR function within a supportive environment.
Your new role
As an HR Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient HR services across the organisation. Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries, you will provideprehensive administrative support across a wide range of HR and Employee Relations activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, ensuring timely and professional responses
2. Providing administrative support across Employee Relations processes and HR workflows
3. Supporting recruitment activity, including advertising roles, coordinating applications, and liaising with candidates and hiring managers
4. Managing pre-employment checks and onboarding administration for new starters
5. Maintaining and updating HR systems and employee records with accuracy andpliance
6. Assisting in the preparation of employment contracts and HR correspondence
7. Calculating and managing annual leave entitlements, including pro rata adjustments
8. Supporting internal HR processes such as recognition schemes and secondary employment requests
9. Managing document retention, including archiving and secure disposal
10. Coordinating internalmunications relating to staffing updates
11. Providing general administrative support including minute taking, filing, and document management
12. Supporting wider HR projects and business continuity activities
What you'll need to succeed
13. Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role
14. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
15. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
16. Excellentmunication skills, both written and verbal
17. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems/databases
18. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment
19. Experience supporting recruitment or employee life cycle processes (desirable)
20. Fluent Welsh language skills (essential)
