About the post:
* Four - Clinical Session plus 1/2 Session for CPD total of 4.5 Session
* A named mentor for the duration of your career at the practice

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within the practice clinical team to deliver effective, high quality care treatment and advice our patient through face to face and telephone consultations. The position involves undertaking all normal duties of a GP working in primary care.
Your duties will include:
* Face to face and telephone consultation
* Referring patient to other organisation where clinically indicated.
* Actioning correspondence/clinical letters
* Reviewing and actioning test results
* Prescribing in accordance with patients needs, adhering to guidance.
* Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with good practice.
* Reports and medicals
* QOF/local contract work as agreed
* Sessions consist of a fixed workload, with minimal clinical admin (letters and prescriptions) and home visits.

Job responsibilities
To carry out telephone triage consultation and face to face consultation.
To attend Practice meetings.
To render assistance with any extra services where needed.
Liaise with external authorities as required.
Conform to practice procedures for QOF, prescribing incentive schemes, and other enhanced services and directives as stipulated by the PCT/government or the practice.
To do extended hours on a rota basis.
Assess own performance and take accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision.
Handling of pathology results, hospital and mail.
To cover for other Doctors on annual leave/study leave.
To teach and supervise students/GP Registrars/Nurses or AP
To keep room clean and tidy.
To be punctual, effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
To conduct and dress yourself in a professional manner.
To maintain a good working relationship with staff, doctors and patients.
To prepare and participate in CQC visit
Ad hoc duties as and when required.
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree Full registration with GMC Certification of completion of training inclusion on performers list.
* Eligible to work in General Practice in the NHS.
* Experience as a GP educator.
Experience
* General practice trained.
* Current GMC registration.
