An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor (3–5 years’ PQE) to join a highly regarded, regional law firm with a strong reputation for excellence. This is a confidential role with a firm recognised in both The Legal and Chambers UK, offering high-quality work and a supportive environment designed to help you thrive professionally and personally.
The Opportunity
You will join a dynamic and award-winning Employment team operating across several locations in the West Midlands. Based in the firm’s Birmingham office, you’ll work closely with a highly respected divisional head and experienced colleagues across other offices. You’ll also benefit from hybrid working and a collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters
* Handling TUPE, redundancy, and restrictive covenant cases
* Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
* Representing clients in Employment Tribunal claims
* Preparing contracts, staff handbooks, and other legal documentationConducting legal research and contributing to case strategy
* Supporting business development activities, including networking and article writing
* Mentoring junior team members

* Strong tribunal experience and ability to handle complex matters
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client and business development
