A leading professional services firm with a first‑class reputation in the private client market is seeking an exceptional Senior Private Client Tax Advisor to join their Edinburgh team. Responsibilities
* Provide strategic tax insight to high‑net‑worth families, landed estates & rural, trusts and executries, business owners and family enterprises, and property and land transactions.
* Advising on personal tax planning, succession planning, IHT (including APR & BPR), CGT and income tax strategies.
* Advising on trusts, executries and wealth preservation structures.
* Supporting clients on tax implications of land, rural business, and property transactions.
* Working closely with senior advisors and partners on complex, multi‑disciplinary matters.
* Contributing to internal training, cross‑team collaboration, and wider business development activities.
* Providing confident, client‑centred advice to a sophisticated and longstanding client base.
Qualifications
* CTA or ATT qualification, or equivalent experience (Solicitors with strong tax exposure also considered).
* Several years’ tax advisory experience within private client, trusts, estates or wider personal tax.
* Strong expertise in IHT planning (APR/BPR), CGT, income tax, and succession structures.
* A proactive, personable approach with a genuine commitment to exceptional client service.
* The confidence to operate at a senior advisory level with HNW and established family clients.
* Interest or experience in land, rural, or property‑related tax work (desirable, not essential).
* Firm is open to full‑time or part‑time arrangements and will support further qualifications such as STEP where relevant.
