Prison Nurse – Ashbourne DE6
Dream Medical are currently working with the HMP service in Ashbourne in recruiting locum Prison Nurses to cover ongoing rotas for the foreseeable future.
The Prison, based just outside of Ashbourne, is looking for Prison cleared nurses, both RGN and RMN, to commence ASAP covering ad hoc ongoing shifts. Candidates will need to be ILS trained RGN or RMN, prison cleared with either CTC or Cat A-C clearance in place to be considered.
This role is outside IR35 and payments can be processed weekly to Limited Companies.
As a Prison Nurse you will focus on the delivery of high‑quality, safe, and effective health care for offenders of different ages and healthcare needs.
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence‑based care in collaboration with service users and the wider multi‑disciplinary team.
* Deliver nursing care through a variety of different models such as inpatient care and nurse‑led clinics.
* Contribute to the multi‑disciplinary approach of offender healthcare delivery, working collaboratively with all other agencies and sectors to improve outcomes in the health and well‑being of offenders.
* Support service users to manage their own conditions by helping them build knowledge, skills and confidence.
* Focus on health promotion and support service users to be responsible for their own health.
* Provide emergency/urgent care to service users and ensure safe onward referral as necessary.
In order to be considered you will be required to have prison clearance or have Counter‑Terrorism Check (CTC) in place.
