We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Project Engineer based at Lutterworth, with hybrid working available. All disciplines will be considered.
You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and assist in coordinating effective and economical plant design and procurement strategies. This includes ensuring timely issuance of information to enable construction, commissioning, and operational handover in line with the Contract Programme, as well as providing cost data for forecasts and evaluation of variations.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Ensure project costs do not exceed tender or varied allowances.
2. Ensure all applications for payment are made on or before the due date.
3. Complete and submit contract reviews and monthly forecasts on time.
4. Maintain good relationships with clients at all levels.
5. Assist with the Project Management strategy.
6. Establish and maintain contract filing systems.
7. Assist in producing and monitoring the contract programme and progress reports.
8. Provide data for the timely production of O&M manuals.
9. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site management on design and procurement issues.
10. Monitor subcontractor performance.
11. Assist in preparing construction completion and takeover documentation.
12. Participate in external networking, conferences, and associations to stay current with industry changes.
13. Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach, providing honest feedback.
14. Undertake other duties as reasonably required, consistent with the role's responsibilities.
15. Present a professional image and foster positive relationships internally and externally.
16. Ensure confidentiality is maintained.
17. Work closely with design departments to ensure timely development of quality solutions.
18. Evaluate innovative solutions and processes.
19. Contribute to risk and opportunity schedules monthly.
20. Develop designs that are safe to construct, commission, operate, and maintain.
21. Complete the capitalisation process.
