Job Description
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will continually seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Applying training to ensure safe working practices.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out at shift start and end for accurate payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment where available.
* Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Keeping the store clean, tidy, and organized, ensuring aisles are clear.
* Potentially managing shifts in absence of managers.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
* If applicable, managing post office operations, including passing background checks. Failure to pass these checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
