Duty Practitioner
Rate: £202 per day
Location: Remote (onsite once a month)
Contract Length: 4 months
Hours: Full-time
Are you an experienced practitioner with a passion for supporting individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities across all age groups? We are seeking a proactive and organised Duty Practitioner to join one of our NHS clients
* Liaison and Integration: Work in close partnership with local authorities, NHS colleagues, and voluntary sector organisations to ensure seamless and integrated care pathways
* Advocacy and Quality Assurance: Acting as an advocate for people with learning disabilities, ensuring their voices and the voices of their families are heard. Help identify and unblock barriers to accessing services and flag any quality or safety concerns to relevant bodies
* Safeguarding: Playing a key role in safeguarding and reporting concerns about abuse or neglect
* Manage and triage a busy inbox including FOI requests, complaints, discharge documents, and general communications
* Direct emails to appropriate departments or individuals, flagging any uncertainties to the manager
* Schedule and coordinate emergency LEAPs (Lived Experience Advisory Panel) meetings, ensuring all relevant parties receive timely invites
* Engage with stakeholders across services to ensure smooth communication and collaboration
* Provide administrative and operational support to the programme team
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience working with individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities (all ages)
* Familiarity with the Autism and Learning Disabilities Programme within the NHS
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* Previous NHS experience in a similar role
* Understanding of NHS structures and referral pathways
