Occupational Therapist
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team delivering person‑centred specialist occupational therapy services to children and adults across the David Lewis School, College and Residential Services.
Job Introduction
Location: David Lewis Clinical & Therapy Services. Permanent contract, 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week). Salary: £19,854.00 – £21,302.00 pro‑rat 0.6 FTE (dependent on qualifications, skills and experience). Supplementary figures for full‑time positions are £36,763.58 – £39,548.70 pro‑rat 1.0 FTE.
Supported populations range from 11 years to end of life and include learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, complex learning disorders, neurological impairments and other complex support needs. We are rated "GOOD" by the CQC.
Facilities
The site includes a school, college, swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, farm, two cafés, a doggy day‑care centre and a forest school, providing diverse environments for assessment and intervention.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Therapy Lead and contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy service.
* Carry out assessment and treatment of a specialist caseload.
* Complete comprehensive assessments of functional independence in social, communication, employment, education and life‑skills areas.
* Plan and deliver interventions across a range of environments.
Qualifications & Experience
* Recognised Occupational Therapy Degree Qualification (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
* Preferably a registered member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
* Excellent communication, organisational skills and teamwork with enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
* Experience at band 5 or an established band 6 occupational therapist is preferred.
