HomeServe is recruiting directly employed Plumbing Engineers to join our team. At HomeServe we put the customers’ experience at the forefront of everything we do. As a Plumbing Engineer you will undertake the maintenance and repair work of plumbing systems in our customers’ homes, provide industry‑leading service, and help enhance our reputation while driving customer growth. To help you settle into your career, you will undertake an extensive training programme.
Training Schedule
* Week 1 – attend the Head Office in Walsall Monday – Friday to cover HomeServe, health and safety, and receive your tools and equipment.
* Week 2 – be buddy‑led by an experienced HomeServe Plumbing Engineer.
* Where geographically appropriate, we will pay for your accommodation and meal allowance during induction.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair plumbing systems in customers’ homes.
* Deliver high‑quality customer service and support HomeServe’s reputation and growth.
* Work independently and as part of a team in a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment.
* Adhere to health and safety standards and company procedures.
Qualifications
* Level 2 in Plumbing (certificates required).
* 1st and 2nd fix plumbing experience.
* Experience working as a plumber in domestic housing.
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Proactive, “can do” attitude.
* Keen eye for detail and problem‑solving skills.
Job Details
* Location: Preston
* Employment type: Full Time – 40 hours per week, including weekend, evening, and bank holiday work.
* Salary: £36,720 – £40,120 (depending on experience) and a £1,500 guaranteed bonus in your first year.
