The successful candidatewill need to demonstrate robust leadership and communication skills, be wellorganised, highly motivated and financially astute. The practice manager is akey member of the team and will be expected to demonstrate leadershipqualities, achieving goals and targets using a combination of personalinvolvement, motivation of other staff and delegation when appropriate.
The partners also requirethe successful candidate to be proactive and plan for the future, maximisingthe practices potential in relation to business, finance and premises, whilstmaintaining patient care.
In addition to adaptingthe practice to meet the demands of providing high quality patient care, themanager will need to ensure that the practice is financially efficient andcompliant with all aspects of health and safety, employment legislation and CQC(Care Quality Commission) registration/compliance.

Historicallythe practice resulted from the merger of four practices.It moved into its current location in May1999. Key responsibilities
Ensuring theorganisational requirements of the practice contracts with NHSE are fully metand complied with
Supporting the Partners todevelop and implement processes to achieve clinical targets of QOF and enhancedservices
Directly contributing toprofit improvement by exploring areas for increasing income and reducing costs.
Analysing data relating toclinical commissioning as appropriate and contributing to planning andorganisation, both at the practice and clinical commissioning group level
Development and controlpractice of budgets and financial systems
Preparation of annual financialbudgets and cash-flow forecasts
Liaising with accountant,bank and business insurance companies as appropriate or as directed by thePartners
Overseeing theadministration of the NHS Pension and Stakeholder Pension Schemes
Liaising with the CCG andpayment agencies regarding queries with payments relating to the contract, e.g.enhanced services.
Managing the Partnersdrawings in consultation with the accountant
Strategic Planning
Keepabreast of current affairs and identify potential opportunities and threats
Assessand evaluate accommodation requirements and manage development and expansionopportunities
Implementand update the Practice Development Plan, overseeing the implementation of theaims and objectives
