Senior Associate EIA Coordinator | Energy

Brighton, England, United Kingdom

Be among the first 25 applicants.

The Opportunity

At Stantec, we have built our reputation over decades of success. We are now looking forward to an exciting period ahead as we grow our multidisciplinary teams. Our four key values are:

* We are driven to achieve
* We put people first
* We do what is right
* We are better together

These values describe how we work together, supporting each other and guiding clients to achieve project requirements. We do what is right by designing with communities in mind, whilst seeking the best environmental and social outcomes. As such, we are currently seeking an experienced EIA Coordinator at a senior level through to senior associate to join our team permanently. With offices across the UK, we can offer a mix of home and office working, helping maintain a work‑life balance and effective team collaboration. We encourage you to apply regardless of your UK location.

Our broad-based growth supports projects across multiple sectors, including major energy and infrastructure schemes. We are working on several exciting and innovative energy projects, such as carbon capture and storage, renewable energy of all types and scales, hydrogen, and transmission & distribution. As we support some of the country’s most significant projects, we seek a candidate whose ambition matches our own.

At the senior / senior associate level your tasks will include supporting the planning and delivery of energy and infrastructure projects, managing EIA screening and scoping processes, and preparing environmental statements and other environmental and planning‑related reports. You will lead environmental teams, oversee Environmental Impact Assessments, and develop client relationships. You will support the development of junior members and contribute to proposals, bids, and financial management of our project work. This role offers the opportunity to work in a truly multidisciplinary environment, accessing a broad knowledge base with support from experts across the business.

About You

You will have strong environmental planning experience (EIA), preferably with experience or interest in the energy sector, and be either chartered or working towards chartership. You will have a broad understanding of environmental issues and disciplines, a working knowledge of differing consenting regimes and development management procedures (Town and Country Planning & Planning Act, Hybrid Bill, etc). DCO experience is not essential but would be considered favourably.

You will have experience leading multidisciplinary teams, a track record of financial management of projects, and excellent communication skills at all levels. Your ability to manage and mentor those around you will be an important asset. Ideally you will demonstrate competency and flexibility to meet the demands of the role. All Stantec office locations will be considered, with full‑time or part‑time options available.

Why Join Us?

* Our People Culture: friendly and collaborative environment
* Awards: 2023 NCE Consultancy of the Year; top 10 Corporate Knights most sustainable companies in the world
* Great Benefits: competitive salary, pension plan, holidays, free private medical insurance, discounted gym membership and more
* Flexible working arrangements
* Great projects across all sectors in the UK and Ireland
* Industry‑leading training and development, plus paid professional subscriptions
