RedStream Technology is searching for an experienced external professional to support the Telecom (Wireline and Wireless/Mobility) Category Program within our client’s Technology portfolio. The focus will include category strategies—including wireline connectivity, mobility services, telecom infrastructure, and 5G/IoT solutions—aligned with the overall Telecom category direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support sourcing activities, supplier assessments, and contracting efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as technology, procurement, risk, and finance.
* Analyze category spend data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost optimization, innovation, and performance improvement.
* Monitor and help maintain the Telecom Expense Management (TEM) solution, ensuring accurate spend visibility and operational consistency.
* Assist in managing relationships with key telecom providers and integrators, helping track service levels, compliance, and risk.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and contribute to fit-for-purpose solutions.
* Prepare presentations and recommendations to support stakeholder decision-making and program direction.
Skills:
* 5+ years of relevant Telecom procurement experience, including sourcing and category management across Wireline and Wireless (Mobility) domains.
* Demonstrated ability to operate independently, organize tasks, and drive deliverables to completion with limited oversight in a dynamic, client-oriented setting.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (and local languages, where applicable), with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
* Comfortable working with data and facts to support rational decision-making; able to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
* Proficient in producing high-quality outputs, including category strategy documents, sourcing plans, PowerPoint presentations, Excel-based models, and structured reports or summaries.
* Excellent time management and responsiveness, especially when managing multiple priorities in an externally supported or remote working model.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing project scopes, attend meetings across time zones, and take on assignments with short lead times when needed.
* Willingness to travel or work in varying client environments, where applicable, though scope and frequency may vary based on engagement needs.
Education:
Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD) or equivalent practical experience preferred. Education requirements may vary depending on location and engagement type.
