Kensington Publishing Corp., America’s Independent Publisher, is seeking a creative and highly reliable Short-Form Video Editor to help us expand our social media presence across platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. We publish a wide range of bestselling fiction and nonfiction titles, and we’re looking to produce engaging, fast-paced video content that promotes our authors, new releases, and brand. Role Overview We’re looking for a video editor who understands current social media trends, storytelling, and pacing for short-form content. You will transform raw footage, author clips, book trailers, and promotional materials into polished, platform-optimized videos designed to drive engagement. Responsibilities Edit 15–60 second vertical videos for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts Add text overlays, captions, graphics, transitions, and music that fit brand tone Repurpose existing footage into social-ready content Collaborate with our marketing team to produce on-brand promotional videos Incorporate trending audio, formats, and effects where appropriate Deliver multiple videos weekly with consistent quality and creativity Requirements Proven experience editing short-form content Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual creativity Ability to adapt to evolving social media trends Excellent communication and timely delivery Experience in publishing, books, or entertainment (a plus)
