Job overview

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with clinical experience in adult and children's physical rehabilitation, complex disability management and/or health prevention in community settings. The role is based in the North Central division, supporting clinical competence across adult and children's pathways. The position requires 80% support of clinical competence and 20% supervision, skill development and training.


Main duties of the job

* Work as part of the practice development network, alongside multi-professional colleagues.
* Support the clinical workforce to enhance skills and competence through mentoring, training and practice development initiatives.
* Apply quality improvement methodology to drive evidence-based practice in community care.
* Collaborate with professional leads and teams to optimise workforce potential.
* Contribute to the continuous professional development of clinical staff, including supporting learning and education programmes.

Person specification


Education / Qualification

* HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
* Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent.
* Clinical Leadership training.


Experience

* Significant senior clinical experience within community services.
* Experience in taking forward clinical and service change.
* Experience of working with staff and stakeholders at all levels.


Skills and Knowledge

* Knowledge of national priorities relating to provision of community services.
* Skills in articulating a vision to staff working at different levels.
* Knowledge of practice development and change management.
