Join us as a Data Governance Administrative Volunteer, where you'll support with information requests. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in NHS administrative processes and contribute to safeguarding sensitive data while supporting both staff and service users.

Career Progression pathways and development opportunities

We're committed to supporting volunteers in achieving their career goals. This role offers a pathway into Bank positions and includes access to ongoing training in key areas such as Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Equality and Diversity. Volunteering with us provides valuable experience that can support progression into paid employment, and we're happy to provide references for volunteers who complete their volunteering.

You'll work closely with the Data Governance team to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. This role suits someone who is organised, IT‑literate, and able to work independently.

Flexible working

This role offers flexibility with one consistent weekday (Monday to Friday) each week, and the option to work remotely from home as well as at Tolworth Hospital when confident to do so. Volunteers must undergo reference and ID checks and complete mandatory training before starting the role. Interviews are due to take place November 2025.

About us

We are Proud to Belong at South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust. We have expert services, a rich history and a clear commitment to providing the best quality care for those with mental ill-health. The Care Quality Commission already rates our services as ‘good’ – we aspire to be ‘outstanding’.

This is a great time to join us. We are transforming the way we care for our communities to support our mission of Making Life Better Together. We have built two brand new mental health facilities at Springfield University Hospital, which are amongst the best in the world. More developments are planned across our sites and services as we invest a further £120m to upgrade and modernise our estate by 2027.

We are inclusive and diverse and strive to be actively anti‑racist. We want to attract people from all backgrounds and experiences to enrich the work we do together. We are proud to co‑produce and involve our local communities in all that we do.

About our location

Tolworth Hospital, Surbiton

Tolworth is undergoing a major transformation to create modern facilities for five new wards, a central plaza, and a caf. It is close to the A3, Tolworth station, and a short bus ride from Surbiton station, with fast connections to Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.
