Key Stage 1 Teacher (Full time, permanent)
Location: Nottingham, NG5
Start Date: January 5th, 2026
Salary: £30,000-£49,000 per annum
Education Personnel is working with a well-established primary school in the NG5 area that has been refining its curriculum to make learning clearer and more consistent for pupils. As part of this, the school has introduced a simple but effective ‘shared lesson structure’ that is used across all year groups, helping children feel settled and giving staff a common approach to planning and delivery. Teachers have found that this has improved continuity, strengthened teamwork and created a steady working atmosphere throughout the school.
We are seeking a KS1 Teacher who values a clear framework, works well with colleagues, and is confident contributing to a calm and organised phase.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that support progress across the KS1 curriculum
* Create an inclusive, supportive and well-organised classroom environment
* Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and ensure strong pupil progress
* Adapt learning to meet a variety of needs, including SEND and EAL
* Establish clear routines and promote positive behaviour for learning
* Work collaboratively with year-group partners and contribute to shared curriculum planning
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children’s development
* Engage in wider school life, contributing to enrichment, events, and school-wide initiatives
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Key Stage 1 teaching experience (including placements for ECTs)
* Secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics instruction
* Ability to deliver creative, differentiated lessons
* Strong behaviour-management skills rooted in positive relationships
* Confidence supporting children with varied needs
* Good communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
* Reflective, proactive attitude toward teaching and professional development
