What You’ll Be Doing
As a Support and Integration Officer, you will deliver high‑quality support and guidance to help refugees in Bristol successfully resettle and integrate into their new communities. You will take ownership of a caseload, conduct pre‑tenancy assessments, and create personalised support plans.
* Offer practical, informed guidance on housing, finance, education, health, and immigration.
* Provide support with budgeting, registering with care providers, and creating social networks.
* Advocate for volunteering, training, and employment opportunities.
* Develop strong relationships with local agencies, coordinate group sessions, and help individuals connect with community resources.
* Make referrals to relevant departments and partner agencies.
* Maintain accurate case records and files to a high standard.
* Participate fully in team meetings, training, supervision, and other staff activities.
* Organise house meetings and carry out property and community visits.
What Our Client is Looking For
* Experience of working with asylum seekers or refugees in a voluntary or paid capacity.
* Experience of providing advice, guidance, advocacy, and culturally sensitive support.
* Experience and knowledge of working with people with complex/multiple support needs.
* Experience of creating support plans and completing needs assessments.
* Capability to support refugees in the UK.
* An understanding of the importance of safeguarding for vulnerable adults.
* Ability to effectively assess, manage and continuously review needs and risks.
* Ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload.
* Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for successful applicants, but only with their prior consent.
