Procurement Lead
Location: Camberley. Reporting to: Procurement Manager. Travel: up to 20% domestic, 10% European.
What You'll Be Doing
* Select and onboard new suppliers aligned with our commodity strategy.
* Provide timely pricing and lead‑time responses to support customer quotations.
* Negotiate and award supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial, planning, scheduling and New Product Introduction requirements.
* Validate and verify new supplier parts to ensure quality and compliance.
* Support the Materials and Planning team with ongoing purchasing and issue resolution.
* Work closely with suppliers, engineering and production to drive swift resolution of quality concerns.
* Ensure supplier adherence to ISO9001 and other relevant standards.
* Support cost estimation and ensure financial accuracy according to company standards.

About You
You Must Have
* Experience managing Electronic, Electrical or related commodities in a regulated, design responsible environment.
* Strong understanding of engineering requirements and supplier flow-down.
* Ability to audit suppliers and coach them through improvement initiatives.
* Skilled negotiator with strong analytical capability.
* Confident communicator able to simplify complex issues into clear summaries.
* Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel).
* Ability to travel (20% domestic, 10% European).
* Full, clean driving licence.
You Should Have
* Experience in regulated sectors (Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, etc.).
* Knowledge of Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA).
* Basic financial understanding.
* Experience managing supplier quality issues.
* CIPS Level 3+ (or working towards).
* Experience in a design-and-build manufacturing organisation.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
* Understanding of international trade rules.
* Experience with MRP2, Lean MRP or Demand‑Driven Supply Chain concepts.
* ISO9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
