SEN Teacher – EYFS (Non‑Verbal Child)
Location: Bebington, Wirral Pay: £130–£180 per day (depending on experience)
Working pattern: Full-Time, Term-Time Contract: Starting ASAP
Your newpanyHays Education is working in partnership with a warm, inclusive primary school in Bebington, Wirral, to recruit a dedicated EYFS SEN Teacher. The school has a strongmitment to supporting pupils withplex needs and offers a highly collaborative SEN provision.
Your new roleYou will take lead responsibility for teaching and supporting an EYFS pupil with non-verbalmunication needs, delivering highly personalised learning within a nurturing early years environment.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Planning and delivering differentiated EYFS lessons tailored to individual SEND needs
2. Using alternativemunication strategies such as PECS, visuals, and sensory approaches
3. Supporting emotional regulation and engagement through structured routines
4. Monitoring progress and adapting provision in line with EHCP targets
5. Working closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, and external professionals
6. Creating a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and development
What you’ll need to succeed
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Experience teaching children with SEND, particularly non-verbal ormunication-based needs
9. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and inclusive practice
10. Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach
11. Confidence working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
