With state-of-the-art skills in materials technology, particularly relating to elastomers, polymers, composites and engineering plastics plus extensive expertise in precision machining of exotic alloys for metallic seals, and tension control fasteners for bolted joints.
The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Document Controller on a permanent contract. This role will be within the Quality Department based at the Cockermouth Manufacturing Business Unit in Cumbria.
The hours of work are 35 hours per week. The salary is dependent on skills and experience, please detail your salary expectations on your application.
Key Responsibilities
· Document Management:
Ø Maintain and manage all international and customer drawings, standards, and specifications.
Ø Ensure all documentation, are recorded and maintained in compliance with customer and industry requirements.
· Document Distribution :
Ø Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders as required.
Ø Track and manage document distribution.
· Document Review and Approval:
Ø Ensure documents are reviewed and approved by the appropriate personnel.
Ø Track and manage document review and approval status.
· Version Control:
Ø Ensure that only the latest versions of documents are in circulation.
· Compliance and Standards:
Ø Ensure all documents comply with company and project standards.
Ø Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
· Training and Support:
Ø Provide training and support to staff on document control processes and systems.
Ø Assist staff with document-related queries and issues.
· Reporting:
Ø Generate and distribute regular reports.
· System Management:
Ø Manage document control systems and software.
About you
Essential Experience
· Strong customer facing skills and ethos.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent IT skills; including knowing how to use standard software and databases.
· Accuracy with high levels of attention to detail.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
· IOS 9001:2015 Internal auditor qualification.
· The ability to read and understand customer specifications and requirements.
Qualifications:
Essential Experience
* GCSE Grades A-C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English.
