A sector leading manufacturing company who have ambitious expansion plans, have a new vacancy for an Assistant Financial Controller to join the team. The Role
* Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
* Prepare monthly management accounts.
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
* Monitor cash flow.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
* Lead audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors.
* Develop and improve financial processes, systems and controls.
* Supervise and mentor finance team members.
The Person
* Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
* Proven experience in a senior finance role.
* Previous experience working in manufacturing, production or engineering.
* Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
