The Role This is an exciting role for someone with a passion for cost management and is looking for their next challenge with a growing iconic brand. Ideally with experience in complex manufacturing, this role will support all aspects of our fixed costs base; Overhead analysis, Cost centre reviews, Cost reduction, overhead / payroll accruals and headcount. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage all reporting and analysis of Norton’s fixed costs (overheads base) Partner with cost centre owners to regularly review costs to aid understanding and flag any major risk or opportunities to be built into the updated forecast Liaise with the Norton HR function on all aspects of headcount and payroll forecasting, ensuring alignment with actuals and cost centre mapping Responsibility for accruals / prepayments on all indirect spend, contract resource and any outstanding purchase order commitments Establish non-invoice accrual process including reserve for open purchase orders Partner the Indirect purchasing team in identifying opportunities for cost reduction Partner with the cost centre owners to development profit improvement plans (PIPs) Approval of all indirect costs, ensuring compliance with all internal controls Management of SAP budgeting process, including compiling the request, challenging stakeholders, agreeing spend, loading to SAP and releasing during the year Support on the production of other standard reporting Support year-end audit with any requests related to role Personal Specification Accounting qualification desirable Previous experience in management accounts desired Strong relationship-building and communication Advanced user experience of SAP desired Advanced Excel skills Automotive / Aerospace industry experience desired Rewards of working for Norton: We like to take care of our Nortoneers and we think we offer some pretty decent rewards.
