Role Overview
We are instructed by a leading national law firm to recruit a Senior Associate / Legal Director into their highly regarded Employment team, based in Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing practice with a strong reputation for handling complex and high-profile employment law matters. The role will see you advising a diverse client base on both contentious and non-contentious issues, while also taking a leadership role within the team.
Key responsibilities include :
* Advising on a wide range of employment law matters including redundancies, grievances, TUPE, absence management and Settlement Agreements
* Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and higher court cases
* Leading on client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
* Supporting, mentoring and developing junior lawyers within the team
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to deliver excellent client service
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
We are looking for an experienced employment lawyer who can combine strong technical ability with commercial awareness and leadership skills.
The ideal candidate will :
* Be an experienced employment solicitor (Senior Associate level or above) with proven expertise across a full spectrum of employment law
* Have experience handling complex tribunal claims and advisory work for a diverse client base
* Be commercially minded with the ability to build and sustain client relationships
* Demonstrate leadership qualities, with experience mentoring or managing junior colleagues
* Be collaborative, forward-thinking, and motivated to help shape the future of the practice
