Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with an established organisation based at Milton Park (Didcot) to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager. The Deput AP Manager will receive a salary of up to £55,000 along with other attractive benefits including flexible hybrid remote working!
In this role you will be managing a team of 5. Managerial experience is essential for the role.
Primary responsibilities;
1. Oversee the processing of high-volume supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment runs.
2. Monitor AP workflows to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
3. Maintain and improve internal controls related to AP processes.
4. Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
5. Ensure all supplier accounts are regularly reconciled and discrepancies are resolved.
6. Support the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives.
7. Respond to escalated supplier queries and ensure prompt resolution of issues.
8. Assist in training, mentoring, and performance development of AP team members.
9. Act as a point of contact for internal departments and external suppliers regarding AP issues.
10. Deputise for the Accounts Payable Manager during absences.
Key experience and attributes;
11. Proven experience in an accounts payable role, including supervisory or team lead experience.
12. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, systems, and best practices.
13. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems (SAP Beneficial)
14. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
15. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
16. Ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.
17. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
18. Experience in a shared service or high-volume environment (Desirable)
