Head of Commercial- Housing Partnerships
Location: North West or Midlands region - flexible to home base location, travel to our core offices will be required
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Our Head of Commercial is a senior role in our business, fundamentally you are responsible for driving commercial performance across our Housing Partnerships portfolio, operating on a nationwide basis. This role supports the delivery of multiple long-term, multi-million-pound contracts for our clients, offering both security and stability, while ensuring consistency and value across regions.
Predominantly centred around Reactive Repairs and Planned Refurbishment projects within Social Housing environments, this role is unique in that it takes an account management-style approach, working across the country to support and strengthen key client partnerships.
Providing strategic direction, you will work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams across regions, ensuring a consistent approach to commercial delivery, whilst supporting performance, profitability, and long-term client relationships.
With overall responsibility for commercial oversight, your focus will be to maximise profit, manage risk, and drive consistency across our Housing Partnerships. Working closely with regional teams, Finance, and senior leadership, you will help ensure strong commercial governance and successful contract outcomes across the business

Responsibilities
* Provide commercial leadership across our Housing Partnerships portfolio, ensuring consistency and performance nationwide
* Take a client-focused, account management approach, developing long-term strategic relationships
* Lead the commercial function across all stages of projects, from bid through to final account
* Drive commercial performance by maximising value, controlling costs, and improving profitability
* Support regional delivery teams to ensure a consistent commercial approach across multiple regions
* Manage commercial risk through contract review, negotiation, and governance
* Review financial performance, including CVR, and provide insight to senior leadership
* Identify opportunities to expand services within existing partnerships and across new clients
* Ensure strong collaboration across Commercial, Operational, and Finance teams
* Support dispute resolution and provide strategic commercial direction where required
About You
As an experienced Head of Commercial, you will have previously worked in a senior leadership role within a Social Housing, construction environment, ideally across multi-region or national contracts.
You will be commercially astute, with the ability to take a strategic, partnership-led approach, balancing strong financial management with client relationship development.
You will have strong stakeholder management skills, excellent client relationship skills, and a proven ability to influence at senior level. Experience of working in an account management-style role, supporting long-term partnerships, is key.
You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence and the role is subject to a DBS check.
