Job Title: Welder Team Leader – MIG & TIG Fabricator
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Welder Team Leader with strong MIG and TIG welding and fabrication abilities to join our client's growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who can guide a team while delivering high‑quality workmanship across a range of fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of welders and fabricators to meet production targets and quality standards.
* Carry out high‑quality MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
* Interpret technical drawings and fabricate components to precise specifications.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
* Train and mentor junior team members, promoting continuous improvement and skills development.
* Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure workflow efficiency and on‑time delivery.
* Conduct quality checks and ensure all work meets company and client standards.
Requirements
* Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding and fabrication.
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a workshop environment.
* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
* Strong understanding of workshop health and safety practices.
* Excellent communication and team management skills.
* NVQ Level 3 in Welding & Fabrication or equivalent (desirable).
