Overview
Do you enjoy fault‑finding mechanical and electrical issues and keeping critical systems running? Are you the kind of engineer who takes pride in turning problems into reliable, smooth‑running solutions? If this sounds like you, join us and keep a busy GMP‑regulated site operating at its best.
At Curaleaf, we’re looking for a hands‑on Facilities Engineer to join our Sunderland site. You'll combine hands‑on maintenance with proactive project work to keep our production areas, cleanrooms, warehouse, and offices safe and compliant.

* Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
* Conduct mechanical and electrical fault‑finding, repairs, and improvements.
* Supervise contractors to ensure safety and GMP standards.
* Maintain accurate, audit‑ready documentation.
* Assist with cleanroom, HVAC, and utility upkeep.
* Participate in planned shutdowns, audits and checks.
* Drive continuous improvement and a proactive engineering culture.
This role also involves some on‑call support outside normal working hours and at weekends.
What you bring
We’re looking for a self‑motivated, hands‑on problem‑solver who is comfortable supporting a wide range of site maintenance tasks, from critical systems to general facilities upkeep.

* Experience using CMMS systems and digital reporting.
* Strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
* Flexible attitude, including willingness to support planned weekend engineering work.
* Understanding of safe systems of work, permits, and contractor management.
