Job Description

The Senior Operations Manager will lead and oversee LSI operations, ensuring seamless management of production and distribution departments to drive efficiency and performance. Foster a strong partnership between LSI and IPS, managing daily interactions and supporting IPS projects to enhance collaboration and operational success.

* Develop comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of high-speed digital printers, laminators, binders, and trimmers within the Production department to perform all job duties within the operational workflow.
* Implement a fast-paced lean production system.
* Oversee KPIs, goals, and objectives for the management team.
* Ensure the timely manufacture and delivery of products.
* Build and lead a passionate manufacturing team with a positive, inclusive, results-oriented culture.
* Manage and lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and Performance Improvement tools to enhance productivity.
* Set clear goals and expectations for Production and Shift Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold leaders accountable.
* Mentor and develop Shift Managers, Team Leaders, and staff.
* Create an engaging environment that fosters continuous improvement and high performance.
* Drive strategic projects with broad impact across the building and network, involving operations teams to identify and solve problems effectively.
* Plan long-term strategies (3, 6, and 12 months), including labor, rate forecasting, and peak season planning.
* Collaborate with support departments (HR, Facilities, Engineering, Safety, IT, Operations) to secure resources for projects and initiatives.
* Supervise production area operations, ensuring timely and accurate material movement, and enforce HR policies related to attendance and performance.
* Participate in hiring, training, and disciplinary actions to ensure team consistency.
* Share best practices across teams to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
* Manage daily interactions between Ingram facilities, focusing on labor sharing and product movement, along with deeper project involvement.
* Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Proficiency in PC applications (Office, Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Understanding of company policies and procedures.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Effective communication skills over phone, electronic, and in-person interactions.
* Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations effectively.
* Proven leadership experience managing at least 200 employees.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Creative and sensitive judgment skills adaptable to changing needs.
* Active listening skills.
* Ability to apply new knowledge and technologies.
* Ability to meet performance standards and organize work efficiently.
* Analytical, financial, and critical thinking skills.
* Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment.

* Flexibility and multi-tasking capabilities.
* Consistent punctuality and attendance.


Essential Physical Demands

* Ability to walk, stand, lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull, and perform physical movements as needed.
* Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
* Ability to travel and work in varied temperature environments.


Qualifications

* University degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
* At least 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in printing.
* Minimum of 4 years progressive manufacturing experience with a successful track record.
