🧩 The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 support for a secondary-aged student with Autism (ASC) and ADHD
Manage behaviour calmly and effectively using de-escalation techniques
Work across mainstream classrooms and a dedicated SEN HUB
Support the student’s academic, social, and emotional development
Liaise with teachers, the SENDCo, and the wider pastoral team
Be flexible in supporting students across different year groups when required
✅ Requirements – What We’re Looking For
Previous experience supporting students with SEN, ASC, ADHD, or SEMH
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree (preferred)
A full UK driving licence – willingness to obtain business insurance is essential
Calm, proactive, and nurturing personality
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Resilience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people
