Role Overview
Band 5 Occupational Therapist – Supporting recovery and rehabilitation in an integrated care pathway at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital, Coventry. You will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme tailored to service users' diagnosis and identified needs, using findings from assessments and risk evaluation.
Responsibilities
* Assess patients’ occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
* Implement and document OT interventions and progress within the multidisciplinary team.
* Engage with patients, families and staff to promote recovery and facilitate discharge.
* Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and OT assistants.
* Contribute to service development and evidence‑based practice initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC.
* Experience working with adult mental health or learning disability populations.
* Knowledge of occupational therapy processes and interventions with a hands‑on approach.
* Excellent communication, time‑management and inter‑professional skills.
* Passion for education and training of students and staff.
* Ability to manage highly demanding clinical presentations.
* Interest in adult mental health, learning disabilities and ASD.
