Healthcare Support Worker Adult Community Mental Health Team
This post is fixed term for 3 years due to funding.
As a Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) you will support the clients in their home environment and in the community, as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under the direction of a mental health professional.
The post holder will deliver support to clients with mental health needs in the community and will promote the recovery model as part of their daily duties through rehabilitation under the supervision and direction of a mental health practitioner
Main duties of the job
An exiting opportunity for a health care support worker within the CMHT Adult team based in Bryntirion Resource centre, Welshpool.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has excellent communication skills and is able to work confidently with patients with mental health issues within their own homes. You will be able to work closely as part of a team. the successful candidate will need to ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications/Knowledge
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience, Attitude, and Abilities
* Good interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal
* Experience working within a multi-diciplinary and multi-agency setting
* Ability to manage stressful situations
* Understanding the importance of care monitoring, audit, and evaluation of Fundamentals of care
* Demonstrate Powys Teaching Health Boards Values
* Understand health and safety issues
* Flexible approach to the needs of the service
* Good time management and ability to prioritise
