HR Advisor

Surrey and Borders Partnership are looking to recruit an HR Advisor on a fixed‑term contract.
Your role will be to provide the Division with responsive advice on any issues that have Human Resources implications, including organisational change and employee relations.
Please note that the interview process will consist of two parts: a case study and a face‑to‑face.
Main duties of the job
Suitable for someone who has the capability and drive to provide sound HR advice to a Division recognising the challenges they face. You will work with the HR Business Partner to ensure the Division is operating lawfully and respects the values of our organisation in managing their workforce and ensuring the provision of high quality services.

Job responsibilities
Key accountabilities in the role are:
* Acting as an advisor to the Division providing professional advice in all aspects of employee management and good HR practice.
* Developing an understanding of the services provided by the Division and their operational priorities and supporting the HR Business Partner to identify where and how HR management can contribute to that achievement as well as the workforce strategy.
* Being an active member of the Management meetings and contributing to decision‑making in relation to HR issues.
* Coaching and training managers in the division and designing and delivering HR training programmes to the Division and our Trust as required.
* Developing and reviewing policies and procedures as required.
* Working collaboratively with staff‑side and union colleagues to build trusted relationships and create a supportive culture around employee relations issues.
* Supporting the HR Department with trust‑wide projects and giving respectful challenge where you have professional concerns relating to any matters.
* Championing the visions and values of our Trust, particularly where they impact on our workforce agenda within the Division, the team and the wider workforce.
* Ensuring all employee relations issues are updated on the ESR System and running monthly reports as well as ad hoc reports on request.
* Working flexibly and cooperatively with other HR Advisors to ensure that our HR service covers its entire responsibility and meets the needs of our managers and employees at all times.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree level or equivalent relevant experience
* CIPD qualified or equivalent relevant experience
Experience
* Demonstrable experience working in an HR generalist role, exposure to ER casework
* Demonstrates knowledge of current employment law and forthcoming legislation
* Experience of interpreting and advising on complex terms and conditions, policies and procedures
* Evidence of being competent in MS Office packages
* Demonstrates knowledge of medical staffing
* Evidence of knowing about NHS terms and conditions
