The school currently has 378 pupils on roll (excluding Nursery) and benefits from a dedicated and supportive team of teaching and support staff who are committed to creating a caring, inclusive and happy learning environment where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.
The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and inspirational class teacher who shares our vision and values and is fully committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all pupils.
The successful candidate will:•
1. Be an excellent classroom practitioner who can motivate, inspire and engage learners through purposeful, creative and active learning experiences.
2. Be committed to developing pupils’ skills for lifelong learning and supporting them to become independent, resilient and confident learners.
3. Demonstrate a secure understanding of effective pedagogy and the role assessment plays in supporting high-quality teaching and learning.
4. Have a developing understanding of the Curriculum for Wales, particularly the four purposes and cross-curricular responsibilities.
5. Promote high expectations for pupils’ achievement, wellbeing, behaviour and personal development.
6. Encourage children to value themselves and others and foster positive, respectful relationships throughout the school community.
7. Contribute positively to a caring, inclusive and safe environment where all learners feel a strong sense of belonging.
8. Work effectively in partnership with staff, parents/carers, governors and the wider community to support the best outcomes for all children.
9. Be committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting the wellbeing of all pupils.
10. Be fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This post also requires registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) under the category of School Teacher and registration will need to be in place prior to commencement in the role.
