This is an exciting opportunity to aid the development of a new post.
Band 3
Hours: 13 Hours per week
This post will be within our physiotherapy team supporting services within the wards of the ANCHOR unit (the Oncology and Haematology unit).
* The post holder will support and assist the physiotherapy staff in carrying out their daily treatments and assessments.
* You must have the ability to carry out all aspects of the role safely including to undertake moving and handling of complex patients and assist in the rehab of patients, some of whom will have a terminal diagnosis.
* The post will vary day to day and will include patient interaction, administrative duties, cleaning duties and communicating with family and extended multidisciplinary team.
* The post holder may also be asked to support Physiotherapy staff elsewhere in the hospital.
* Our department proactively supports our staff to develop.
* This post will primarily work weekdays but there is an expectation that services may be provided over 7 days and on public holidays.
* Training will be given to the successful candidate as required based on their previous experience.
* There may be an opportunity in the future to increase the hours of this post.
