Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for permanent post as Band 7 Practitioner in the Mental Health Liaison team for The Bay, based at the RLI Lancaster. The successful candidate will oversee assessments and treatment for patients on the MHLT pathway and clinical delivery of the service which will involve offering timely and responsive assessments, working collaboratively with service users and their families, delivering high quality evidence based approaches to care, and delivering collaborative care plans and risk assessments based on least restrictive practice. Furthermore, being committed to delivering quality and being able to reflect on the importance of the service user journey and experience is critically important to this role. The successful candidate will be required to work shifts covering a 24/7 period.
The Practitioner role is central to the safe and effective running of the service. We require an outstanding clinical skill and someone who is committed to providing a high quality, safe and effective service. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop clinically and professionally. A high level of emotional intelligence will be required in the successful applicant, and the ability to be part of a cohesive MDT team will be critical to the role. Furthermore, the development and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships with LSCFT partner services and Acute Hospitals is vital to the role.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to serve the whole of the multi-racial and multi-cultural community of the bay and demonstrate values and commitment to diversity and anti-discriminatory practice. This will require the successful applicant to be a leader, mentor, teacher and role model. The role is comprehensive and will require a clear understanding of the Mental Health Act 2007 and will require a detailed knowledge of all aspects of Adult Safeguarding.

Qualifications Essential
* Registered Nurse (Mental Health) - current NMC Registration
* Evidence of professional updating and development in the nursing care of patients in an acute or community setting.
* Diploma in Professional Studies (Nursing) - or equivalent.
Knowledge Essential
* Several years post-registration mental health nursing experience.
