We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team, playing a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.
About Us
At Rushcliffe Care Group, we believe that a clean and comfortable environment is essential to the well-being of our service users. We are committed to providing exceptional care, and our Domestic Assistants are a key part of this mission. Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will help ensure that our facilities are always kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
About the service
Our male rehabilitation unit provides structured, therapeutic care for adult service users living with serious and enduring mental health conditions. The environment is supportive and recovery-focused, with a multidisciplinary team working together to help individuals build the skills they need to move forward.
The Role
As a Domestic Assistant at Rushcliffe Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the home/unit. Your key duties will include:
* Cleaning and maintaining designated areas, including bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and kitchen spaces, to a high standard.
* Following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained.
* Adhering to infection control policies, ensuring all cleaning products are used safely and in line with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
* Reporting any hazards, damages, or maintenance needs to the Person in Charge.
* Assisting with the laundering of service users' clothing and bedding as required.
* Maintaining a friendly and professional relationship with residents, respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
* Working as part of the wider care team, helping to create a comfortable, welcoming, and safe environment for all residents and staff.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A strong work ethic and the ability to carry out tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
* A positive attitude towards health, safety, and hygiene, with a willingness to follow all necessary guidelines and regulations.
* The ability to work as part of a team, with good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
* Experience in a similar domestic or cleaning role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
* A commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of our residents and staff.
* Flexibility and reliability, with a good track record of punctuality and attendance.
If you are a hard-working, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you. Join the Rushcliffe Care Group and play an important role in providing exceptional care to our service users.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which is covered by Rushcliffe Care.
