About the Role
As the Head of English, you will:
* Lead and manage the English department across KS3–KS4
* Drive high‑quality teaching and learning to boost engagement and attainment
* Support, coach and mentor colleagues to deliver outstanding English lessons
* Track pupil progress, analyse data and implement effective interventions
* Oversee curriculum planning and ensure consistently high standards
* Build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and external partners

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong subject knowledge in English
* A proven track record of improving pupil outcomes
* Leadership experience (formal or informal) is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
