Eaton Syalon, working exclusively with one of the East Midlands’ most respected employers, is supporting the search for a technically strong Accountant to join their Group Financial Control function in a Statutory Reporting role.
In this position, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the Group’s financial statements remain fully compliant with accounting policies, IFRS and regulatory standards, while helping to drive an efficient and well-coordinated audit process across multiple divisions.
Working closely with Group Financial Control, Group Technical Accounting, divisional finance teams and external auditors, you’ll support the planning, coordination and smooth delivery of all external reporting deadlines. Robust programme management, clear communication and strong stakeholder relationships will be at the heart of what you do.
This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll influence processes, strengthen reporting disciplines and contribute to a ‘no-surprises’ culture. You’ll also gain exposure to a wide range of financial reporting activities, with the opportunity to broaden your technical expertise through hands-on delivery and cross-functional engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Play a key part in delivering accurate, high-quality Group financial reporting, including statutory and interim requirements.
* Ensure all reporting meets IFRS, regulatory standards and Group accounting policies, partnering closely with Group Reporting, Technical Accounting and Governance teams.
* Coordinate and support the external audit process, maintaining clear plans, timelines and communication across divisions and with auditors.
* Support the preparation of UK subsidiary accounts, ensuring strong project management and high-quality outputs.
* Drive improvements and efficiencies in audit and reporting processes, identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance ways of working.
* Influence and collaborate widely across the business to strengthen reporting practices, despite no direct line management responsibility.
* Contribute to ad hoc projects requiring technical reporting expertise, including M&A activity.
If you're a motivated Financial Accountant seeking meaningful challenge, technical development and the chance to add real value within a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you.
