The Role As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will oversee and deliver complex air quality and dispersion modelling projects across the UK. You'll play a key part in guiding project strategy, developing client relationships, and driving business growth. Working closely with clients, regulators, and planning authorities, you'll deliver high-quality, impactful solutions while supporting and mentoring a growing team of consultants. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the delivery of major air quality and dispersion modelling projects Provide expert technical input to EIAs and environmental assessments Build, maintain, and expand strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities Develop high-quality proposals, bids, and commercial strategies Mentor and support junior consultants within the expanding air quality team Liaise effectively with regulators, planning authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams About You Minimum 8 years' experience in air quality consultancy or a related regulatory role Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance Proven ability in business development and client management Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related discipline Chartered status (CEnv / IAQM) desirable Excellent communication, leadership, and commercial awareness What's on Offer Fully remote position - work from anywhere in the UK Flexible working hours and genuine work-life balance Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE) Private healthcare, pension scheme, and performance-based bonus Continued professional development funding and a clear pathway to Associate / Director level If you're a driven professional looking to lead, inspire, and shape a national air quality team, while making a meaningful impact in a respected consultancy, we'd love to hear from you.
