Role
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the commercial & financial managementand profitable performance of our portfolio of works,locatedbetween Sellafield and our head office in Whitehaven.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
The key tasks of this role include but are not limited to:
* Reviewing and Management of contract Terms & Conditions.
* Managing and developing of Trainee QS.
* Responsible forall Applications for Payments, including all contractual entitlements.
* Prompt submission of Estimate / Tendering information to the client.
* Prompt presentation of Final Accounts.
* Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
* Managing theProcurement, negotiation and placing of Sub-contract Orders.
* Financial and Commercial Management of Sub-contractors through to settlement of their Final Accounts.
* Ensuring that all notices and information are presentedin accordance withthe contract requirements.
* Responsible for preparation ofappropriate documentationin support ofadditionalpayment, variations, claims etc.
* Commercial support to the management team.
* Commercial support to the Estimating and Procurement teams.
* Liaison with the client on all commercial matters, including preparation and submission of supporting information.
Requirements / Criteria
Candidates for this role must be effective team players and should meet the following criteria:
* Be qualified to Degree level or equivalent
* Hold a degree of experience (5+years)
* HoldpreviousCommercial experience within a contracting environment
* Preferably holdpreviousexperience of working within the engineering/manufacturingsector
* Be IT literate in Microsoft Office applications, be an advance user of Excel.
* To possess good communicationskills
